To foster an interest in the Mini in its various forms and derivatives.
The biggest annual event in the country for Mini enthusiasts is the Hay Mini Nationals Motorkhana. Held in Hay because it's roughly the same distance from Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, the event is usually run over the Queen's Birthday long weekend.
The weekend includes:

Sunday Hay Mini Nationals Motorkhana (with Mini Clubs competing against each other)

A massive fancy dress Presentation Party, with each Mini club having their own fancy dress theme
The Hay Mini Nationals also form one round of the VMCi Championship.
