What is the Geelong Revival Motorshow?

The Geelong Revival Motoring Festival is an action-packed event held on the Geelong waterfront and Rippleside Park. It features the quarter-mile sprints for more than 300 vintage, classic, modern & exotic cars and motorcycles going full throttle down the Ritchie Boulevard foreshore road.
The Geelong Waterfront will become home to over 900 quirky, classic, valuable, and fascinating vehicles that cover all aspects of motoring over the years. There are trade stalls, live music, food and drink vendors, and even classic and vintage fashion. There is also a Vintage Caravan display and the Vintage Fashion Awards!

Minis on show in 2022 - twice!

The Victorian Mini Club had a display at last years events, both the delayed 2021 event (Held in early 2022) and the 2022 event held in late November.

With a substantial number of VMCI members involved heavily with the organisation of the competition side of this brilliant event, it is always fantastic to see an equally impressive turnout for our car display component too.
As we have in past years, an effort to coordinate the entry of cars was undertaken in 2022 headed up by John Holloway, so that we all got a good spot together. That effort certainly seemed to pay off as we were awarded at the March event with an award for 'Best Presented Car' for Johns incredible John Cooper Limited Edition S Works Mini. Johns car is one of the last of the original style shape Mini's produced, and was complimented in our display by a very early original 1963 850 sedans owned by Anthony & Victoria Roberto. And there were plenty of other Minis in-between too.

There is also a 'Vintage Fashion on the Fields' competition at the event too. Victoria learned this on the Saturday, went home that night and produced a stunning outfit, and was judged on Sunday to be the winner of the 'True Vintage' category!

The November event saw even more cars in our display, with many of those who were helping out at the competition sprint track displaying their cars (hey, don't judge, it's free parking right near where we have to be!). They may not have helped us to win any display trophies, but it certainly gave us a strong presence, and made getting to and from the track a lot easier!

Check back to this page regularly for news regarding the 2023 display event (see below) and keep your eyes on MiniMag for the earliest details.

If you'd like to be involved in the competition side of things, feel free to contact Krystian Jackson (Clerk of the Course) via his mini club email address of krystian@mini.org.au as he will certainly appreciate your assistance. It's a brilliant event, with a really laid back feel.

MINI CLUB ON DISPLAY - LAST YEAR (2022)
Want to be a part of the action?

The Victorian Mini Club will be having a car display at the Geelong Revival in 2023, being held between the 24th to 26th November.
In past years we have coordinated this display so that we can group our cars and enjoy the weekend together. We will be on the lookout for a group coordinator later in the year, but if you feel like this event is on your 'can not miss' list, and you would like to put your hand up to assist with the display coordinating in any form, please contact the club via sec@mini.org.au and the committee will get back to you.
